SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor
Did you know that the higher the number of SPF listed on a product does not significantly decrease your exposure to UVA/UVB rays? For instance, SPF30 blocks close to 97% UVA/UVB radiation from the sun, and SPF50 only increases another 1% of that.
Although there are not any sunscreen protection products that are entirely 100% reef safe, our IceCream Sunscreen lotion can confirm we are, in fact, reef-friendly. We are very proud of this as we not only want to enhance people’s lives to “Stay Cool and Protected,” but help the environment around us as well. Our sunscreen lotion is 100% Oxybenzone Free & Octinoxate free which the FDA states are unsafe for the environment.
Yes, all of our products are not just approved by the FDA, but approved through our most precious gems, family and friends. We strive to only offer the highest quality products that we trust to personally use on a daily basis.
We do not condone animal testing of any kind and therefore we are a 100% animal cruelty free brand.
Luckily our brand is formulated for all ages; however, just to be extra safe, please consult a pediatrician before applying on our baby gems of 6 months or younger.
Our sunscreen lotion products should be applied 15 minutes before sun exposure and reapplied every 80 minutes for its full potential of blocking UVA/UVB rays. Lip Balm can be applied throughout the day.
Love this question as we have the best answer….EVERYWHERE!!! You can literally use our products anywhere you feel the need to. Take IceCream Sunscreen on vacation with you, use it at the park, beach, pool, backyard, etc. We don’t discriminate and would love to see our products everywhere!
Luckily our sunscreen lotions are virtually weightless upon application and light enough to be used on the body as well as the face. This helps eliminate extra bottles and tubes taking up space and adding on unnecessary weight for you to hold.
